LEGACY & MEMOIR
Our Biographical projects are a rigorous exploration of an individual's life journey, archived and documented by means of a personal register or short film/documentary.
We dive deep into lived experiences and recollections from the past and present , crafting expressive accounts that resonate deeply.
These projects are acts of memorialization, honoring the lives and legacies of those who have shaped our collective history.
By contextualizing personal stories within broader historical trajectories, we pay homage to the resilience, struggles, and triumphs of individuals and communities, ensuring that their voices are not lost to the passage of time.
Our process begins with meticulous archival reconnaissance, where we collect and curate diverse forms of existing records - from letters , old diary/journals , newspaper cuttings, notes coupled with photographs ,video footage and beyond. The process anchors on Oral History Interviews that captures tacit and Implicit knowledge otherwise lost in written/ printed historical accounts.
We also gather social and personal material memories of individuals, such as significant objects that hold special meaning in an individual’s life , from an heirloom fabric to antique kitchen utensils or collectibles and memorabilia. Through interviews, audio recordings, and video documentation, we meticulously weave together a portrayal of an individual’s unique experiences and connections.
